The country reported 506 fresh dengue cases in the last 24 hours till Thursday morning (Sep 29), said the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

In the 24 hours, 367 new dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka, said the DGHS release.

However, 139 dengue patients were admitted outside the capital.

According to DGHS, 1,427 patients are undergoing treatment in different hospitals in Dhaka while 447 other patients are being treated in hospitals outside Dhaka.

Some 15,852 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue till today while 13,923 patients returned home after recovery since January 1.

However, this year a total 55 died from the mosquito-borne viral disease in Bangladesh till today.

However, 28,429 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue while 28,265 patients recovered in last year. A total of 105 died from the mosquito-borne disease during that time.
