People from all walks of life today paid glowing tributes to legendary lyricist, film director, producer and screenwriter Gazi Mazharul Anwar at the Central Shaheed Minar in the capital.

Gazi Mazharul's body was kept at the Central Shaheed Minar from 11am to 12pm to allow the people to have the last glimpse of this eminent person.

He has been given guard of honour there.

The body of Gazi Mazharul Anwar is being taken to BFDC where his first namaz-e-janaza will be held, Banglanews correspondent reports. 

Later, his second funeral prayer will be held on Channel i premises.

Gazi Mazharul Anwar will be buried at Banani graveyard beside his mother after the third janaza that will be held at Gulshan Azad mosque.
