‘No more market in front of educational institutions’

DHAKA: The government asked authorities concerned to take necessary measures to stop construction of market adjacent to private educational institutions.

The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education on Thursday (October 24) issued an order in this regard.

According to the order signed by its Director (College and Administration)  Shahedul Kabir Chowdhury, all the regional directors of secondary and higher education, the president of the governing council of the private colleges, the deputy commissioner, all the deputy directors of secondary and higher education, all Upazila Nirbahi Officers and district education officers were asked to implement the order.
 
Earlier this year, the Deputy Commissioner of Dhaka suggested that necessary orders should be issued to stop the construction adjacent to the wall in front of private educational institutions.
 
The order stated that in order to implement the decisions of the Deputy Commissioner's Conference, it was instructed to take necessary measures to stop the construction of the market in front of the private educational institutes.
 
Earlier, the Education Ministry wanted to know the progress of implementing the proposal of the Deputy Commissioner's Conference.
