DHAKA: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Grameenphone (GP) and Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) was signed in a ceremony at Bijoy Auditorium of BUP on Thursday (July 12) at its campus in Mirpur Cantonment of Dhaka.
Michael Foley, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Grameenphone was present as the Chief Guest while BUP VC Major General Md Emdad-Ul-Bari, ndc, psc, te and BUP Pro-VC Prof. M Abul Kashem Mozumder, PhD were present as the Special Guests. BUP Registrar Brigadier General Abul Kashem Md Ibrahim, ndc, afwc, psc delivered welcome speech. In the signing ceremony, BUP Registrar Brigadier General Abul Kashem Md Ibrahim, ndc, afwc, psc and Syed Tanvir Husain, Chief Human Resource Officer, Grameenphone signed on behalf of their respective institutions. The main purpose of the MoU is to build up bi-lateral relation in academic and research of these two organizations, create employment opportunities for the students after their graduation, and arrange internship for the students and so on.
Among others, BUP high officials, teachers, students, senior officials of Grameenphone and journalists were also present in this ceremony.
