Oracle Celebrates 20 Years in Bangladesh

Company has experienced growing customer demand during its two decades in the country.

It has opened new office in Dhaka, reaffirmed its commitment to helping Bangladesh become a digital nation

Oracle on January 23 has celebrated 20 years of serving public and private sector firms in Bangladesh by opening a new office in the country.

The occasion was witnessed by Chief Guest AHM Mustafa Kamal, MP Minister Ministry of Finance, Govt. of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh; Guest of Honour Zunaid Ahmed Palak, Minister of State for ICT Division, Bangladesh; Earl R. Miller, U.S. Ambassador to the People’s Republic of Bangladesh; Cherian Varghese, Regional Managing Director, Oracle ASEAN; Amit Suxena, Managing Director – South Asia Growth Economies & Vice President - Cloud Platform Group, Oracle; Rubaba Dowla, Managing Director, Oracle Bangladesh; and many Oracle customers and partners.

“Bangladesh has leapfrogged economic growth with 8.15 percent GDP growth last fiscal year – the highest in Asia Pacific. I appreciate the initiative taken by Oracle while working with organizations across the country to help them transform, harness the growth we are seeing and serve their customers in new, innovative ways,” said AHM Mustafa Kamal, FCA, MP Minister, Ministry of Finance, Govt. of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.

“I would like to congratulate Oracle on this milestone, particularly since they have been close technology partners supporting Bangladesh’s development agenda,” said Zunaid Ahmed Palak, Honorable Minister of State for ICT Division, Bangladesh.

“The government is committed to transforming Bangladesh into a Digital Nation by 2021 and we look forward to working with corporations like Oracle to fulfill this important vision,” Zunaid Ahmed Palak also said.
