FROM BUET: Students of BUET (Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology) on Tuesday (Oct 8) staged demonstrations on their campus demanding justice of the murder of fellow student Abrar Fahad.

The agitating students placed their 7-point demand from the protest procession that started from BUET cafeteria around 10:30am.

Chanting slogans they demanded exemplary punishment of the killers as soon as possible so that no such incident can take place in future. 

They gave an ultimatum till October 11 to meet up their demands. 

The students urged their Vice Chancellor to meet them on campus by 5pm and tell why he did visit they spot 30 hours after the murder incident. 

Otherwise, the students threatened to go on indefinite sit-in demo on the campus from Wednesday.

Teachers' Association of BUET expressed their solidarity to the protest demanding justice of Abrar’s murder.

Abrar Fahad, a second year student of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of BUET was allegedly beaten to death at his dorm Sher-e-Bangla Hall early Monday.

The body of Fahad was found lying between the first and second floors of Sher-e Bangla Hall.
