Motijheel govt pry school head teacher suspended

DHAKA: Head teacher of Motijheel government Primary School Nurjahan Hamida has been suspended for taking admission charge illegally from students and harassing the guardians.  

Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya, ACC assistant director (public relations) confirmed the matter to Banglanews. 

Immediately after finding the evidence of irregularities against her, ACC Director General (Administration) Mohammad Munir Chowdhury asked the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education to take action, he added.

Later, the ministry issued an order suspending Nurjahan Hamida, the Head teacher of Motijheel government Primary School.

On allegation from guardians through ACC hotline (106), a team of anti graft watchdog consists of assistant director Nargis Sultana and deputy assistant director Sabuj Hasan conducted the drive at the school and found the fact of the allegations. 

They found that the alleged person is taking Tk 1000 -Tk1500 forcibly from guardians of students without providing money receipt. 

She even harassed the guardians who failed to pay the demanded money as admission fee. 

The team also found evidence that the head teacher realized Tk 5.77 lakh from students as admission fees for 2019. 

The alleged teacher also confessed of taking money from students illegally.
