PMC principal confined, classes boycotted

PABNA: The agitating students of Pabna Medical College (PMC) on Tuesday confined the principal at his office and boycotted classes to press home their 6-point demand, including hostel, transport, teachers and their security.

The students locked Principal Dr Muhammad Ali at his office around 12:00 noon.

They also claimed that there are lacks of teachers, hostel and transport facility in the college.

Moreover, no safety and security measures were taken for the students on the campus, they added.

Earlier in the day, the agitated students boycotted the classes and brought out processions to press their demands.

However, the students said they would stage further demonstration if their demands are not met.

Additional law enforcers were deployed in the area to avert any untoward situation on the campus.
