Foreign currency seized from Ctg airport

CHITTAGONG: Chittagong customs arrested a passenger of Oman airlines and seized foreign currency worth Tk 70 lakh at Shah Amanath International Airport on Friday.

Acing on a tip off, customs officials said, they arrested Mohammad Ali as he was set to fly for Oman. He hailed from Fatikchari.

Assistant Police Commissioner (Immigration) Moin Uddin confirmed the arrest and said a case would be filed against him on charges of money laundering with Patenga thana.
