DHAKA: Awami League Joint General Secretary Jahangir Kabir Nanak alleged that the convicted acting BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman, who is residing in London, is conspiring against the country by holding meetings with senior officials of Pakistani intelligence agency.
Jahangir Kabir Nanak made the allegation at a press conference from city’s Dhanmondi political office on Saturday (December 8).
Nanak said, “We’re observing that Tarique Rahman is plotting with Inter-Services Intelligence to create acts of terrorism, anarchy in the country, after identifying it as a terrorist state.”
“He is doing it at such a time when there is a festive atmosphere centering the upcoming 11th parliamentary elections. We will, therefore, perform our electoral tasks with utmost care,” he also said.
