CTO Tech Summit in Dhaka on May 11, 12 Attendees at the Saturday's press conference

DHAKA: CTO Tech Summit will be held on 11th and 12th May (Friday and Saturday) in Dhaka, which is the first time for Bangladesh, said a press release. 

The first day inauguration program will be held at Dhanmondi Club and the second day program will be held at Daffodil Tower Milonayoton 71, the auditorium of Daffodil International University (DIU). 

CTO Tech Summit-2018 has been organized by CTO Forum Bangladesh for all the technology officers of Bangladesh. 

A press conference was held at Dhanmondi Club on Saturday (May 5), marking the summit, said the press release issued Sunday (May 6). 

CTO Forum Executives including it’s President Tapan Kanti Sarkar, General Secretary of the forum Dr Ijazul Haque, Joint Secretary Md Arfe Elahi Manik, Joint Secretary General Mohammad Ali, Executive Member Nurul Islam Mazumdar, Executive Member Md Azim U Haque, Fellow Member Gopal Chandra Guha Roy and the Coordinator Taher Ahmed Chowdhury of CTO Tech Summit-2018, among others, attended the press briefing.

It was said in the press conference that the technological officers working in different sectors of the country will participate in the coming two-day’s event. People related to the IT sector of the country, government policymakers, researchers and students will also take part in the event. The use of technology is essential in almost every sector of the Digital Country. 

CTO’s have full control of this work efficiently, business development or capacity building. CTO’s are constantly promoting new technologies, cyber-world facilities and Obstacles. Since the technology is constantly changing, it is important to increase the capacity of the individual through the sharing of their experiences with the CTOs of different organizations, and this requires a platform.

In the event will hold discussion on the issues related to how to deal with the problems faced by the CTO’s, with the help of each other, and implementing the government's vision-2021, to provide technical obstacles and ways to solve.

CTO Forum President Tapan Kanti Sarkar said to the press conference: "We are happy and proud to be taking the initiative of CTO Tech Summit 2018 for the first time in the country. At the center of the conference, here is gathering our countries information related to publicity and policymaking personal personalities that I think will play a positive role in our community development.” 

“Today we are talking about how to use the Emerging technology and way is the key to how technology can be used. I think this kind of arrangement is effective in the development of issues. So, the president of the forum called for the participation of all concerned including CTO’s for two days in this program,”  he added. 

According to the organizers, this year’s discussion issues will be related to cyber threats, cyber security, block chain, Bitcoin, e-commerce and digital payments. For the last few years CTO’s will be arranged for different types of events, but the CTO Tech Summit-2018 will be organized in greater detail. The organizers hoped that the organizing will play an important role in developing the city's one and a half capacity.

This year, 8 seminars will be held and workshops will be attended by about 40 speakers of the local community, said the press release.
