Need to boost youths for ICT entrepreneurship

DHAKA: Speakers at a seminar said it is important to create the interest of the entrepreneurs and also their courage and mentality to take risk.  

The seminar on “Boosting up the next generation for ICT entrepreneurship” was held on the third day of BASIS Software Expo at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center.

Editor of CNews and Managing Director of the Data Base Software Ltd Rashed Kamal presented the keynote in the seminar. 

Besides, Minhaj Anwar of Better Stories, general secretary of BDOSN Munir Hassan, CEO of Brain Station 23 Raisul Kabir and CEO of BDJobs and Ajker Deal Fahim Mashroor attended the seminar as discussants.

The seminar was moderated by the Executive Editor of CNews Kazi Mostaque. 

In his key-note speech Rashed Kamal said that every entrepreneur is a business man and one person becomes a trader by utilizing his education and experience. The entrepreneur of Information technology is different than other businesses. 

The creation of market of ICT is very much important here. The necessity of entrepreneurs is much to attain the goal of exporting USD 5 billion by 2021 as set by the Bangladesh government. The government is giving much incentives and cooperation in this field. Now it is important to create the interest of the entrepreneurs and also their courage and mentality to take the risk.  

To find out new purchasers or to create the market for their own service commodity is important. To survive in the market and relations with others are also required. To do all these hard work it needs own interest, and love for hard work. Over all it needs own skill and utilize the earned knowledge of his own product. It needs own clear conception over his products and to proceed with the cooperation of the receiver of services, he added.  

Munir Hassan said that every entrepreneur must know how to utilize the opportunities with patience. It is difficult to earn profit in business overnight. To become successful entrepreneur one must not have the target of profit only. Because earning money should not be target of satisfaction. When an entrepreneur loves his work he is supposed to earn name and fame of a real entrepreneur.  

CEO of BDJobs and Ajker Deal Fahim Mashroor Hassan said the seminar it needs strong patience to become an entrepreneur. There is tendency among our young generation to become rich within a short time. 

He also said: “You must have mentality of Marathon Race to become successful entrepreneur in a country like Bangladesh. We need huge number of ICT entrepreneurs to earn 100 crore US dollars from ICT export and they will also give leadership in future. In our country the learners are interested in IT business. But they are a bit impatient while in this field it requires patience.” 

One entrepreneur must keep in mind that not only himself but the whole family is dependent on him. So one must proceed here very cautiously, he added.
   
In the seminar the CEO of Brain Station 23 Raisul Kabir said that the entrepreneur does not mean money. If you want money then go for jobs. Again if you want to be entrepreneur you must know the business. Now it is time when you cannot say ‘don’t’ know. If you want to learn go to Google. If you want to be an entrepreneur then you must know the things.
