Bangladesh skipper Mashrafe Bin Mortaza won the toss and decided to bat first against Sri Lanka in the opening match of 14th Asia Cup Cricket on Saturday (Sep 15).

Tigers are facing the Lankan team at 5:30 at Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai.

In the first group contest, Bangladesh will also face Afghanistan and can secure its place in second Group contest by wining only one match. 

Six teams- Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan in Group A and India, Pakistan and Hong Kong in Group B- are participating in the first group contest.

Bangladesh squad: Tamim Iqbal, Liton Das, Sakib al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah, Mosaddek Hossain, Mohammad Mithun, Mashrafee bin Murtaza (c), Mehedi Hasan, Rubel Hossain and Mustafizur Rahman

Sri Lanka squad: Upul Tharanga, Kusal Perera, Kusal Mendis, Angelo Mathews (c), Dhananjaya de Silva, Thisara Perera, Dasun Shanaka, Dilruwan Perera, Suranga Lakmal, Lasith Malinga and Amila Aponso
