DHAKA: Dhaka Dynamites Captain Shakib Al Hasan has been fined half of his one match fee for breaching the code of conduct of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) during the match against Comilla Victorians.

Besides, the ace-all-rounder has been awarded three demerit points as punishment. He can face a match suspension if he receives one more point.

Shakib was appealing for an lbw dismissal of Comilla batsman Imrul Kayes on Monday’s match (November 20). As the plea was turned town, Shakib showed abusive reaction to the on-filed umpire Ranmore Martinesz.

In BPL 2015, Shakib was reported by the on-field umpires Ranmore Martinesz and Tanvir Ahmed for using abusive language after dismissing Sylhet batsman Dilshan Munaweera. He was then suspended for one BPL match on side of Rangpur Riders, and fined Tk20000.

Meanwhile, Sabbir Rahman of Sylhet Sixers, Tamim Iqbal and Liton Das of Comilla Victorians have been fined for abusing umpires on the field of BPL 2017.
