DHAKA: A beautiful Tamim Iqbal century lead Bangladesh to a 90-run win over Sri Lanka in the first ODI match at Dambulla on Saturday.

Century by Tamim and two half centuries by Sabbir Rahman and Shakib Al Hasan scored 324 runs for 5 wickets in the allotted 50-over to set the decent target for the hosts.

Tamim scored 127 (142) runs with 15 fours and a six while Shakib earned 72 (71) runs with 4 fours and a six. Besides, Sabbir scored 54 runs by 56 balls and Mossadek Hossain baged 24 runs by 9 balls.

In reply, chasing 325 runs target, Sri Lanka team lost their wickets regularly and stuck at 234 (45.1 overs) losing all wickets.

LD Chandimal scored 59 runs facing 70 balls while, NLTC Perera managed to score 55 runs with four boundaries and two over boundaries.

Bangladesh's sensational bowler Mustafizur Rahman took three vital wickets while Mashrafe Mortaza and Mehedi Hasan Miraz bagged two wickets each.
