DHAKA: Mentioning government’s misrule and dictatorial attitude, BNP senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said people are terrified and the joy of Eid festival is absent among them.

The senior BNP leader made the remarks at a press briefing in city’s Naya paltan party office on Monday morning (August 20).

He said the whole nation is in unrest from dealing with the corruption, looting and misruling of the government. Lower middle class people are struggling to cope with soaring price of daily commodities and their Eid joy has been fainted. 

“Only few ruling party men are feeling secured but ordinary people hard working most and opposition party men are badly hurt by the oppression of this government,” he said. 

Rizvi also alleged that his party chairperson Khaleda Zia is being locked up in prison just for being the head of the opposition party. Thousands of his party men are falsely accused in cases.
