DHAKA: BNP has announced to hold a rally in Dhaka on September 1 to mark its 40th founding anniversary.

BNP senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi made the announcement at a press briefing in party’s central office on Tuesday (August 14).

Moreover, BNP will also hold a Doa Mahfil program for its jailed chairperson Khaleda Zia’s recovery and release on her birthday that falls on August 15. 
 
Rizvi said the party would give letter to the authorities concerned for permission to hold a rally either at Suhrawardy Udyan or at Nayapaltan in front of the party’s central office.
