BARISAL: Election Commission (EC) has served a show-cause notice to Awami League’s mayoral candidate for Barisal City Corporation election Sadiq Abdullah on charge of violating electoral conduct.  

Assistant Returning Officer Md Helal Uddin Khan told Banglanews on Sunday (July 29) that Sadiq Abdullah has to reply soon.

Earlier July 28, Nazim Uddin Panna, who is a legal adviser to BNP candidate Majibur Rahman Sarwar, filed a complaint against Sadiq Abdullah for holding a rally in Fazlul Huq Avenue, violating the election code of conduct.
