COMILLA: A district court on Wednesday (July 25) denied BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s bail petition in an arson case, filed under Special Powers Act, in Comilla in 2015.

Judge KM Shamsul Alam of Comilla District and Session Judge’s Court denied her bail after hearing, disposing the petition as per High Court’s order.

Earlier Monday (July 23), the High Court denied Khaleda Zia bail in the case and directed the lower court concerned in Comilla to hear and dispose of her bail petition by July 26.
