DHAKA: The ruling Awami League (AL) will hold a special extended meeting on June 23 marking its founding anniversary.
 
The meeting will be held at Ganabhaban at 11:00 am with the party president Sheikh Hasina in the chair, said a press release signed by AL office Secretary Dr Abdus Sobhan Golap issued on Tuesday (June 19).
 
BNP leaders said AL president Sheikh Hasina will likely give directions for the upcoming days to its root-level and central leaders and activists on the meeting.
   
The members of the party presidium, advisors, members of the central committee will take part in the meeting, it added. AL General Secretary Obaidul Quader urged all concerned to attend the meeting.
