DHAKA: BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said that the condition of their party chief Khaleda Zia has deteriorated further.

“Khaleda Zia is suffering from fever each night, can’t walk due to pain on knees,” he said.

“She is falling sicker”, added Fakhrul.   

Fakhrul was addressing a press briefing at BNP’s Nayapaltan central party office, at noon.

However, BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia was sentenced to five years' rigorous imprisonment in the Zia Orphanage Trust graft case on February 8. She landed in jail on the same day.
