KUSHTIA: Kushtia district unit Bangladesh Chhatra League Vice President Nazmul Islam, 32, was gunned down by unidentified miscreants, at his residence in Kushtia sadar upazila early Wednesday (May 30).

Kushtia Model Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Atikur Rahman confirmed the matter to Banglanews.

“Nazmul was at his bedroom, around 2:30am. Miscreants fled away after shooting him,” he said.

“He was taken to Kushtia General Hospital where the on-duty physician pronounced him dead”

Investigation is underway over the murder, added the SI.
