DHAKA: BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said that there is no alternative of waging movement, to make the jailed BNP leaders freed.

He called on everyone to be united regarding this.

“The demon government should be ousted, through ensuring national unity irrespective of party and opinion,” said Fakhrul.

He was addressing a CD launching program, at Bhasani Bhaban in Nayapaltan, around 11:30am Friday (May 18).

He further said that the government fears Khaleda Zia and therefore, has kept her imprisoned so that they can escape defeat in the upcoming national polls, in absence of the BNP Chairperson.

Adviser to the BNP Chairperson Ashraf Uddin Khan Ujjal, Press Wing officer to the BNP Chairperson Shamsuddin Didar, National Executive Committee Assistant Secretary for Cultural Affairs Singer Monir Khan, Singer Nasir, Prof Aminul Islam and Salah Uddin Shishir, among others, attended the prgram.
