DHAKA: Five lawyers of jailed BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia went to the old central jail to meet her Saturday (May 5).

Authorities of the prison at Nazimuddin Road in old part of the capital city permitted the lawyers to enter inside at around 4:30pm.

They are—Abdur Rezak Khan, Advocate AJ Mohammad Ali, Advocate Khondaker Mahbub Hossain, Advocate Joynul Abedin, and Barrister Mahabubuddin Khokon.

A reliable source from the prison told Banglanews that the lawyers were given permission to enter the jail 4:05pm.

A Dhaka special court sentenced Khaleda Zia to five years' rigorous imprisonment in the Zia Orphanage Trust graft case on February 8. She landed in jail on the same day.
