DHAKA: BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir’s mother has passed away.

Fatima Amin, 86, died, around 12 pm, at BIRDEM hospital on Thursday (April 12).

Mohammad Yunus, personal assistant of Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir told Banglanews that Fatima Amin had been suffering multiple diseases, including lungs, kidney complexities.

Fatema Amin’s husband late Mirza Ruhul Amin was a minister during H M Ershad regime in the decade of 1980s.

Besides, she was mother-in-law of BNP Standing Committee member Lieutenant General (Retd) Mahbubur Rahman.
