Country lost on the ‘highway of corruption’: Ershad HM Ershad addressing the public rally in Laldighi Maidan of Chittagong city

CHITTAGONG: Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ersahd said that the countrymen are craving for a change as the country is reeling on the ‘highway of corruption’ at present.

“The country should be recovered,” he said.

Ershad was addressing a public rally at Laldighi Maidan of Chittagong city, arranged by the combined alliance led by Jatiya Party and Islami Front, on Saturday afternoon (April 7).

“We don’t want any single-handed government. Everything is leading by one. There is no security in the country.”

“The country doesn’t get any election now-a-days; it is nothing but ‘sealing’. The polling centers should be guarded. We have to remain prepared. The country has to be rescued”, he added.

Citing hesitation of the government regarding sit for discussion with him, Ershad said: “Who is running the government now?, only one (person). (You) call me a dictator... Now the international body calls this government an autocracy.”

The JP Chairman urged everyone to come forward, for rescuing the country.

JP Secretary General ABM Ruhul Amin Howlader, Forest & Environment Minister Affairs Anisul Islam Mahmud, JP Presidium Member Ziauddin Ahmed Bablu, Islami Front General Secretary MA Motin were among others, addressed the rally presided over by Islami Front Chairman Allama MA Mannan.
