DHAKA: Awami League President Sheikh Hasina issued a stern warning against those who took positions and worked against the party during local government elections.

“The Member of Parliament (MP)’s and leaders, who took positions against the candidates of boat (AL election symbol), will not get nominations from the party in future,” she said.

The premier issued this warning during a meeting of AL Central Working Committee at the Gono Bhaban on Saturday night (March 31).

According to sources, AL was defeated in various places for some people who went against their party in local government elections.

Internal feud has become the main problem. The rebels have been listed and they will never get nominations from AL electoral emblem ‘boat,’ they added.
