DHAKA: BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said that countrymen are longing for a scope to use the best of it by toppling the government down for ever.

He was addressing a discussion organized by BNP, marking the National and Independence Day 2018, at Institute of Engineers-Bangladesh (IEB), on Saturday (March 31).

Urging the leaders and activists of BNP to wage a movement to make Khaleda Zia free from jail, Fakhrul said: “The mother of humanity is now imprisoned. They (government) have confined her who battled against the autocracy for long nine years”.

“Everyone come to the streets, to protest the injustice. There is no alternative of struggle, struggle, struggle,” he added.  

“We won’t think anything else before releasing Khaleda Zia. We are observing totally peaceful movement. We will topple town them (government) through this peaceful movement,” Fakhrul said further. 

BNP standing committee members Barrister Moudud Ahmed, Barrister Jamiruddin Sircar, Mirza Abbas, Nazrul Islam Khan, Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury were among other present there.
