DHAKA: BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir was scheduled to meet their party chief Khaleda Ziain the old central jail at Nazimuddin Road in Dhaka Thursday afternoon (March 29).

But, in a latest move, Fakhrul decided to not meet Khaleda, who was convicted in a graft case, as she is feeling sick.  

BNP Chairperson’s Media wing officer Shairul Kabir Khan earlier told Banglanews that Fakhrul will visit Khaleda at prison, at 3:00pm.

In a latest decision, the meeting has been suspended as the BNP Chairperson is feeling sick, said Fakhrul’s personal assistant Yunus.

On February 8, a Dhaka special court sentenced Khaleda to five years' rigorous imprisonment in Zia Orphanage Trust graft case. She landed in jail on the same day.
