MANIKGANJ: BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said the Election Commission is deliberately working with the Awami League government to ensure ‘one party rule’ in the country.

He made the claim at a Doa-mahfil program at Pachuria village in Ghior upazila of Manikganj on Friday noon (March 16).

Alleging that the EC is just reflecting the wishes of the Al government, the senior BNP leader said the main objective of the EC is to re-establish AL in power and bolster one party rule. There is no democracy or human rights currently exist in country.

Senior BNP leaders were also present at that time.
