DHAKA: Mentioning that Al government’s plot to spit BNP by imprisoning its chairperson has failed miserably, party secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said his party is now more united under the leadership of Tarique Rahman.

He made the affirmation in a discussion meeting on Martyr’s Day or International Mother Language Day at Engineering Institute auditorium in Dhaka on Friday evening (February 23).

Fakhrul said AL thought imprisoning Khaleda Zia will dismantle BNP but that ray of their hope is slammed.

The BNP leader called upon the party men saying, “It is time for ordeal and far worse than ever before. This is not a struggle of Khaleda Zia or BNP alone but a struggle of the people against the men in power.”
