MUNSHIGANJ: Awami League General Secretary also Road Transport and Bridges Minsiter Obaidul Quader said the government has nothing to do if BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia becomes disqualified following the court verdict to join the polls.

Criticizing BNP for being suspicious regarding the verdict against BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia in Zia Orphanage Trust graft case, he said: “Khaleda Zia’s crime is tantamount to state financial crime. The court fixes their destinies who are accused to commit these sorts of crime”.

“The government won’t find any option to make the BNP Chairperson returned to the polls if she loses her eligibility to contest in the polls following court verdict”, added the minister.

Quader was talking to the reporters while inaugurating a mobile court of Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) on Dhaka-Maowa Highway in Sirajdikhan upazila of Munshiganj Tuesday noon (February 20).
