DHAKA: In a latest move, BNP has decided to stage the sit-in procession at Institute of Engineers-Bangladesh (IEB) instead of Jatiya Press Club, demanding the release of their jailed leader Khaleda Zia.

Sources from BNP informed media about the decision Monday night (February 12).

However, they are set to stage the sit-in at the earlier scheduled time—11am-12pm Wednesday (February 13).

Earlier, BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said at a press briefing at BNP Nayapaltan central party office that their leaders from all the divisional cities, districts and upazilas including the capital city will stage the program.  

However, a Dhaka special court sentenced Khaleda Zia to five years' rigorous imprisonment in the Zia Orphanage Trust graft case.
