SAVAR (DHAKA): Savar municipality unit BCL Vice President, who was earlier injured as his bike overturned during a showdown on the day of Khaleda’s verdict, dies Friday (February 9).

Bulbul Ahmed, 26, the deceased, was a resident of Dogormora area of Savar municipality, hailed from Daulatpur upazila of Manikganj.

Savar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohsinul Qadir told Banglanews that the BCL and Jubo League leaders and activists were staging showdowns with motorbikes on Dhaka-Aricha Highway, centering the delivery of verdict against BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia in Zia Orphanage Trust graft case Thursday (February 8).

Bulbul and two others were injured as their motorcycle overturned at around 11:30am.

They were hospitalized at Savar Enam Medical College Hospital where Bulbul succumbed to his injuries Friday, added the OC.
