Dhaka: Two prisons have been kept ready for Khaleda Zia if she is convicted in the Zia orphanage trust graft case. One is Dhaka old prison and the other is Kasimpur female prison.

Meanwhile Kasimpur female prison has been made neat and clean after proper washing and swapping. The division cell is also ready for a female high profile prisoner.

On the other hand the old jail of Dhaka has been made ready after washing and wall painting. New light and fan have been fixed in the cell. A new “bed” was placed there.

The old jail is three storied. In the ground floor the females and their kids were kept. In the first floor there is a day care center, while the other was meant for female VIP prisoner. In the second floor there is a parlor, a tailoring arrangement and the female VIP prisoner was kept in the other room.

A jail source not to be identified informed that the old jail had the arrangement for accommodating female prisoner before shifting of the jail to Keraniganj. If Khaleda Zia is convicted, an additional security arrangement is under process. One male deputy jailor, one female deputy jailor will lead the jail guards. There will be vigilance of police and RAB outside the building.

Meanwhile the jail authority held several meetings to keep Khaleda Zia in jail if she is convicted in the judgment to be delivered on Thursday. The Home Ministry has ordered to identify such a place which is nearer to court. For this reason the jail authority has decided to keep Khaleda in the old jail located at Nazimuddin road.

To accommodate her not only Kasimpur jail and old jail of Nazimuddin Road the political office of Khaleda at Gulshan, her residence, by the side of Jatiyo Sangsad where she was kept after 1/11 regime are under consideration. A room of BSMMU hospital has also been ready for Khaleda Zia.

She will be kept according to the order of Home Ministry. Now it is wait for the judgment of the court and the order of the Home Ministry.
