BCL leader stabbed to death in Jessore

JESSORE: A local leader of Bangladesh Chhatra League, the student wing of the ruling Awami League, was stabbed to death by the activists of rival group at Jhikargachha upazila in Jessore.

The incident took place at Katakhal area of the upazila at noon on Saturday (December 16).

The deceased was identified as Milon Hossain, 26, son of Alam Hossain of Katakhal village of the upazila. He is a local BCL leader.

According to the sources of police and the locals, a group of miscreants led by Razu Sarder stabbed Milon Hossain at noon.

Later, local MP Monirul Islam and others rescued Milon Hossain and sent to the Jessore General Hospital. The BCL leader succumbed to injuries in the hospital at about 2:30 pm.
