SATKHIRA: Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader said the opposition BNP itself shut the door to dialogue ahead of the country’s upcoming national elections.

Obaidul Quader, also the Road Transport and Bridges Minister, made the remark while addressing a party program of representative meeting and member procurement in Satkhira on Tuesday (December 12).

Obaidul Quader added that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina went to express her condolences over the death of Khaleda Zia’s elder son Arafat Rahman Koko. However, she was blocked at the gate. With this, BNP itself shut the door to hold dialogue. 

District Awami League President Mansur Ahmad presided over the meeting while other leaders were present during the inauguration program of Awami League member procurement and renewal of membership.
