MOULVIBAZAR: Some miscreants hacked two members of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), a student wing of ruling Awami League, to death over factional clash in Moulvibazar town on Thursday evening (Dec 7). 

The deceased were identified as Shahbab Rahman, 23, son of one Abu Bakar Siddique, resident of old hospital road in town and Mahi Ahmed, 18, son of one Billal Hossain of Durlabpur village of sadar upazila. 

Shabab was an eleventh grade student of Moulvibazar Govt College and Mahi was an SSC examinee.   

Confirming the matter to Banglanews, Moulvibazar model police station officer-in-charge (OC) Suhel Ahmed said the incident took place around 6:30pm in front of Government High School hostel in Moulvibazar town. They were rushed to Sadar Hospital where on-duty physician declared them dead on arrival.

The killing might have committed due to factional clash. The matter is being investigated, he added.
