DHAKA: BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said his party wants to participate even in snap election but not under Awami League government.

The senior BNP leader made the remark in a press conference after a joint meeting at the central office of the party in Naya Paltan area of the city on Wednesday (December 6).

In response to a statement made by Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader, Fakhrul said BNP wants election beyond the Hasina government even if that election is held tomorrow.

BNP Vice Chairman Shamsuzzaman Dudu, Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, Joint Secretary General Mujibur Rahman Sarwar, Syed Moazzem Hossain Alal, Khairul Kabir Khokon, Habib Ullah Nabi Khan Sohel, Organizing Secretary Shama Obaid, Publicity Secretary Shaheed Uddin Chowdhury Annie and others were present at the press conference.
