DHAKA: BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia claimed herself completely innocent in the Zia Charitable Trust corruption case.

She said, “I am totally innocent. I didn’t commit any corruption using power as the Prime Minister.”

The Ex-Prime Minister Khaleda Zia made the statement in a special court set up in the Bakshibazar Alia Madrasa field in the capital on Thursday (November 23).

She appeared for the sixth time in the Zia Orphanage Trust corruption case.

The next hearing date is fixed on Thursday (November 30) after Khaleda Zia’s lawyers appeal for permanent bail in the Zia Orphanage Trust corruption case.

Judge of the case read out the allegation, and then Khaleda Zia claimed herself innocent.

When asked if guilty or innocent over the case, she responded innocent.

If needed, she said she will submit all necessary documents or even deliver a speech.

Earlier, she leveled all the allegations made against her false, and fabricated.
