Broadcast policy to be passed in JS winter session: Inu

DHAKA: Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu has said that broadcast policy will be passed in the upcoming winter session of Jatiya Sangsad.  

He said this while speaking at a rally in front of the National Press Club in the city on Tuesday (November 21). Broadcast Producers Association (BPA) arranged the rally on the occasion of the World Television Day.

Inu said that that have decided to formulate broadcast policy and constitute a commission in the interest of protecting media rights. “We don’t believe in control of media. We believe in freedom of media,” he said.

He hoped that the proposed broadcast policy will protect the freedom of broadcasting and media rights.

The draft of the policy has already been formulated. Any can express opinion and raise allegation over it.  They can submit their opinions and allegations within two months.
