24 Jamaat men sued in Narayanganj

NARAYANGANJ: 24 Jamaat leaders and activists, including district ameer Moulana Moinuddin Ahmed, were sued on charges of plotting and preparation of sabotage activities in Narayanganj.

Sub-Inspector (SI) Raju Mondal lodged the case with Fatullah Model Police Station on Saturday (November 18).

Police demanded a 7-day remand for the thirteen detainees, including Maulana Moinuddin Ahmed.

Narayanganj Senior Judicial Magistrate Mahmudul Mohsin granted three-day remand each in the court following hearing.

Court Police Inspector Mohammad Ali Biswas said that police took the accused with Fattullah Model Police Station for interrogation on the remand.

Fattullah Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Kamal Uddin said that in a drive conducted in Moinuddin’s house, police detained 11 persons while taking preparations and seized Jihadi books, leaflets, banners, member procurement forms, etc.
