BNP hardly believes in independence of judiciary: Inu

KUSHTIA: Information Minister Hasanul Haque Inu has said that the BNP does not believe in the independence of judiciary.  

Hasanul Haq Inu, also the President of the Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD), said this on Saturday (October 14) while talking to reporters after a views exchange meeting with party leaders and activists held at Kushtia Circuit House.

The Minister said that the Chief Justice went on leave willingly. The government doesn’t intervene in judiciary. Whatever is circulating about the Chief Justice is just propaganda.
 
While speaking out against BNP leaders, he said, “In one verdict, they exchange sweets, feeling rejoiced; on the contrary, they protest in another verdict. In actuality, they don’t believe in the independence of judiciary.”

Kushtia Police Super SM Mehdi Hassan, Additional Deputy Commissioner (overall, education and ICT) Md. Habibur Rahman, President of the District JSD Golam Mohsin, and JSD central leader Abdullah were also present in the meeting, among others.
