Two ‘JMB men’ held in Dhaka

NARAYANGANJ: A team of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-11) in a drive detained two activists of banned extremist outfit Jamaat-ul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) from city’s Demra area in the wee hours of Thursday (July 20).

The detainees are identified as Mohammad Tushar Habib alias Ayub, 26 and Mohammad Abu Bakar Siddique, 35, both hailing from Rupganj upazila of Narayanganj. 

Mohammad Shakil Ahmed, additional superintendent of police (ASP) of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-11) in Narayanganj’s Adamjee, told Banglanews that the detainees confessed their involvement with JMB for the past two years. They used to recruit people for JMB and accused in several sabotage cases.
