DHAKA: Two suspected robbers were killed in a shootout with the members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) at Rayerbazar Martyred Intellectuals’ Graveyard in Dhaka.

The shootout took place around 2:45am Tuesday (September 18).

Identities of the deceased couldn’t be known immediately.

RAB Legal & Media Wing Senior Assistant Director ASP Mizanur Rahman confirmed the matter to Banglanews.

Arms, bullets and other tools used in robbery were recovered from the spot. 

The robbers were pronounced dead by the physicians at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), in the morning. The bodies were kept at the morgue for autopsies, DMCH Police Outpost In-Charge Bacchu Mia told Banglanews.
