KERANIGANJ (DHAKA): Ten students, who were detained during quota reform movement, have been released from Central Prison in Keraniganj of Dhaka on Tuesday afternoon (August 21).
They were freed at 12 pm today.
Rashed Khan,joint convener of Bangladesh Sadharan Chhatra Odhikar Sangrakkhan Parishad, told Banglanews that, “We gave an ultimatum to the government demanding implementation of 3-point, including gazette of quota reform, by August 31 out of 5-point. If government doesn’t fulfill our demands, we’ll announce our next program.”
Convener of Bangladesh Sadharan Chhatra Odhikar Sangrakkhan Parishad Hasan Al Mamun, joint convener Md Ata Ullah, and others came to greet them at the prison gate.
Earlier, 18 students, detained in connection with quota reform movement, were freed on Monday (August 20).
