NARSINGDI: Preparations are underway to form a committee to run investigation into the Monday’s deadly road crash that left 11 persons killed in Belab upazila of Narsingdi.

District administration will give Tk 20,000 to the victims’ families each, said Bhairab Highway Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Tarikul Islam.

The 11 persons were killed as a bus collided with a leguna (human hauler) in Jongua-Noakandi area of Belabo on Monday night (August 20) around 8:30pm.

All the deceased were passengers of the leguna (local human hauler).

7 others were injured. Conditions of a few of them are critical.

The injured were admitted to various hospitals in Bhairab and Narsingdi.

Identities of any of the deceased and injured couldn’t be known yet.

Preparations are underway to file a case over the accident.
