FENI: 6 persons were killed and five others wounded as a micro bus collided with a cattle-laden truck at Muhuriganj area of Chhagalnaiya upazila in Feni.

The accident happened on Dhaka-Chittagong highway, around 3:30 am, on Monday (August 20).

The deceased were identified as micro bus driver Sharif Rahman, 42, son of Siraj Mollah of Charmohana village under Raipur upazila of   Lakshmipur District,  Jahan Ara Begum, 50, daughter of late Nur Mohammad, hailed from Mandari village of  Lakshmipur Sadar upazila, Rumi, 35, Poppy, 13, Shuvo, 8, and Ruman, 2.

“Police, after recovering dead bodies from the spot, sent the bodies to Feni Modern Sadar Hospital morgue. Among the deceased, there are 2 children and 2 women. The injured are undergoing treatment at Sadar Hospital,” Md Mahabub Alom, outpost in-charge of Muhuriganj Highway Police, told Banglanews.
