DHAKA: Actress Quazi Nawshaba Ahmed, an accused in a case filed under Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Act, has no serious health issues to be hospitalized, said Dr. Asit Chandra Sarkar, Head of Neurosurgery Department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).
When contacted through cell phone, Dr. Asit Chandra Sarkar, said, “Actress Nawshaba has no serious complications as such. She has been given physiotherapy already. Now gynecologist will treat her as she has some gynecological problems.”
Nawshaba Ahmed was admitted to DMCH, around 10:15 pm, on Monday (August 13). An MRI test was performed on her at a private hospital in consultation of DMCH doctors.
A 4-member medical team was formed for Nawshaba. She has been undergoing treatment at a cabin of DMCH since then.
Dr. Asit Chandra Sarkar added that, “Soon Nawshaba will be discharged of the hospital. She has a past operation in her spine cod. Feeling a little pain, she was admitted to hospital.”
On August 4, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested actress Quazi Nawshaba Ahmed from city’s Uttara area for spreading rumours on Facebook over the attack on protesting students at Jhigatola.
Afterwards, she underwent 2 spells of remand.
