NARAYANGANJ: The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) arrested a deputy assistant engineer of Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) while he was taking bribe in Narayanganj on Thursday noon (August 16).
 
The arrestee is identified as Ehtashamul Haque.

ACC public relation officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharjee said the commission conducted the drive based on a specific complaint by Mozammel Haque, a contractor of the LGRD office at Sonargaon Upazilla under Narayanganj District.
     
A team led by Nasimi Anwar, one of the directors of ACC, arrested Ehtashamul Haque with bribe money of Tk 50,000 from his workplace at around 3:00 pm. A case will be filed against the official, he added.
